Put together a bunch of monsters to make it a challenging fight and your rewards will be equally great! With 12 different classes (6 unlockables) and 17 characters (5 unlockables) to choose from, more than 100 quests, 50 monsters, 100 items and equipment, blacksmith, enchanter, mining, gathering, hidden treasures and a lot more. Inspired by the great titles of the 90's, play this game feels like you are playing a traditional pen and paper RPG.The player gets to control the playing characters AND the dungeon master, and you choose what battles to fight. I think they nailed what a looter-based progression should be.Knights of Pen&Paper is an indie turn-based retro style pixel-art RPG. I would like for them to make the level cap to be easy to reach but have a lot of difficulty levels that push you to get better gear by playing more the game.ĭiablo 3 does that, and I have been playing it since launch. That is one of the things that I really hope they will change if there will be a UA4. Going through the game is extremely slow and there is no way out of it or cheat sadly. Can't say the same with UA3 sadly, since even after finishing the game twice at 2 different difficulty level, I still have my heroes that are not even close to max level.Īnd since I played only with 6-8 of them alternating between teams, the rest of the heroes are basically still at their base level. In MH you could level each hero in a week playing few hours a day and there was always something new to do that was not repetitive. I like UA3, it is just too grindy for my preferences. Square Enix just got the memo too late I guess. Look at the guardian of the galaxy game: the gameplay is barebone but it has been praised for his story and diversity of environments. You can make a game as service and make money, and still make a fun and enjoyable game to play just look at Korean MMO like Genshin impact: that thing is fun to play, free and it made 1B dollars income in just a year.Īll they had to do was to use the real actors and voices for the heroes make a story where you are not a useless hero until you get at least to level cap and make you feel like you were progressing fast and people would throw money at them. I think what they did wrong in that game was the whole setup and premises. They are both repetitive, yes, but DW at least make you feel like you are somehow powerful while when I played Avengers I was a superhero that would have to hit regular grunts 10 times to kill them. Some compared the Avengers game to Dinasty warriors games, which could not be more wrong. Unless they add more enemies and location, adding just more heroes won't really change things IMO but I understand that some people like that game, even if they replay the same scenarios and kill the same enemies over and over. They can add more characters but in the end it is the same 5 locations with the same 5 enemy types, and considering the movies as reference the game look like a weekend project from few interns. Well, if it didn't hook me up with the beginning, I doubt it will get better moving on. *Currently this Bounty is still in its concept stage, and therefore subject to change.
